About Sarah Husbands

Sarah Husbands is deeply committed to protecting the assets of her clients through tax reduction strategies, risk management, and personalized legacy planning. She applies a disciplined approach to design practical and creative tax planning solutions tailored to the needs of the businesses and individuals she represents.

Sarah joined CJMH in 2023 as an associate attorney following experiences as a revenue officer and law clerk for the Internal Revenue Service. She previously served as a judicial clerk within the U.S. Tax Court for the Honorable Juan F. Vasquez. This practical experience in the interpretation and enforcement of tax policy provides Sarah with valuable insight into specific applications of the Internal Revenue Code.

Viewing the IRC as a fascinating puzzle, Sarah enjoys counseling clients on how each dynamic piece affects their specific needs and tax planning strategies. A love of challenges, learning, and business is evident throughout Sarah’s career, which includes many years of successful experience as a bail bondsman and entrepreneur.

Sarah earned a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law after completing her Juris Doctor with the University of Houston Law Center. She holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Houston, with summa cum laude honors. Her academic achievements include recognition by the State Bar of Texas and the Houston Bar Association tax sections for excellence in the study and practice of tax law.

In her personal life, Sarah is an active marathoner who enjoys spending time with her husband and children. You can find them taking taekwondo lessons, practicing powerlifting, or traveling to new and favorite destinations.
