Mark focuses his practice on corporate and transactional matters, advising businesses through a wide range of complex transactions. His work includes corporate governance, business transactions, and mergers and acquisitions, with a particular interest in venture capital raises and emerging business structures. He enjoys tackling novel transactions and researching nuanced legal issues that arise in fast‑moving business environments.
Prior to attending law school, Mark studied Business Management with an emphasis in finance at the Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business and Management. The program emphasized real‑world application of macro‑ and micro‑economic principles through collaborative coursework and presentations, providing a strong foundation for his transactional practice.
Mark earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law, where he concentrated on transactional and business law. Knowing early on that litigation was not his intended path, he tailored his studies toward courses such as Venture Capital, Negotiation, and Corporate Taxation. While at Texas Law, he was deeply involved in student leadership, serving as Director of External Affairs and later President of the Texas Business Law Society, an organization dedicated to supporting students pursuing transactional legal careers and fostering connections with practicing attorneys. He was also a member of Assault and Flatter, the law school’s theater group, and participated in its annual productions.
Outside of the office, Mark enjoys spending time with his children, going to the movies, and listening to or watching true crime podcasts. He also appreciates unwinding with reality competition shows such as Love Is Blind and The Traitors.
