Before attending law school, Lucas completed the integrated Master in Professional Accounting program at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin, where he concentrated in taxation. His academic training provides a solid foundation for advising clients on tax‑driven planning and transactional matters.

While earning his Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law, Lucas built upon his business experience by pursuing advanced coursework in taxation and business law. During law school, he also served as a teaching assistant at the McCombs School of Business (Taxation of Flowthrough Entities) further strengthening his technical understanding of partnership and pass‑through taxation.
